Pre-School and BeginnersCreative Dance
(3-4 yrs) Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet- Using the Leap ’N Learn curriculum, our Early Childhood Division is specifically designed to provide boys and girls between the ages of three and seven with a strong foundation in dance and movement. Classes in the Leap ’N Learn Early Childhood Division are grouped into age-specific levels for three to seven year olds. These classes meet once a week for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on age. All levels are essentially structured the same, with the content based on age- appropriate developmental skills. Classes focus on pre-ballet and creative movement concepts. In the Leap ’N Learn Early Childhood Division, we will focus on increasing each child’s cognitive, physical and emotional development. It is a well-known fact within the area of neuropsychology and developmental psychology that the time between 0-7 years is the critical period of development. This is the age at which children are the most responsive to new skills. It is also known that children learn through experience and have a natural need for movement and pretend play. All of the above has been taken into consideration and each class is designed, structured and presented in a fun and child-friendly way, increasing a child’s love of movement and learning.
Combo Classes
Our signature Combo Class Program allows dancers to attend one class a week incorporating the fundamental teachings of three different genres: Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
